Diagnostics and flag writing

Check each project's capability, recheck an issue, and turn on optional flag writing.

Diagnostics

The Diagnostics tab shows each project's capability (SUPPORTED, READ_ONLY, INVALID_CONFIG, AMBIGUOUS, UNAVAILABLE), tracking start, last check and the repair backlog. You can recheck one issue by its key (reads only; it never changes the flag).

Flag writing (NATIVE_WRITE)

Optional and off by default (the NATIVE_WRITE=on environment variable enables it for an installation). To turn it on:

  1. On the Flagged field tab, the flag writing test flags and unflags the test issue once to learn how the site accepts the change. The test issue must not be flagged.
  2. In the project's settings, Let people flag and resolve from the app.

If Jira answers a write unexpectedly, the app stops writing in that project (READ_ONLY). Run the test again to turn it back on. Background processing never writes the flag.
