Data and licence

Retention, moved issues, personal data, export, uninstalling, and what an inactive licence pauses.

Data and privacy

The Data tab:

  • Retention: closed blockers and their history are deleted once older than the project's retention period (365 days unless a project sets less). Open blockers are kept, unless the app has not been able to read the issue for longer than the retention period (deleted, moved or hidden by an access rule).
  • Moved issues: when an issue moves to a project that is not tracked, its open blocker stops being followed at the move: queues no longer show it, reports count its time up to the move, and JQL no longer treats it as open work (ilOpen = 0). If the issue comes back to a tracked project, tracking continues from Jira's history, and reports then count the whole blocker, including the time spent outside.
  • Personal data: the app stores Atlassian account IDs only (owners, and who flagged or changed a blocker). They are reported to Atlassian weekly; when an account is closed, every reference to it is removed. Notes are kept.
  • Export: every stored record as JSON Lines (one record per line), copied in parts.
  • Uninstalling: Atlassian keeps the app's data for 28 days; reinstalling does not restore it automatically.

Licence

With an inactive licence the Blockers panel of each issue stays readable and the admin JSON export and privacy processing keep working, but edits and turning on new projects are blocked, and the app page (Blocked now, Reason missing, Reports, Retro and the CSV export) is paused. Tracking pauses; when the licence is active again, the gap is filled from Jira's history, up to 35 days back (older short blockers may be missed).
